CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY
NANOLEK is a socially responsible company that pays prominent attention to the development of the Kirov Region. About 800 highly skilled jobs have been created at the NANOLEK biopharmaceutical plant by today. More than 200 employees are graduates of the Vyatka State University; 35% are specialists in biotechnology.
NANOLEK is one of the founders of the industrial biotechnology cluster in the Kirov Region, created on the initiative and active participation of the Kirov Region Governor — Igor Vasiliev.
In 2019, NANOLEK became a participant and one of the SEC’s founders, a
The SEC will develop new medications for the country’s epidemiological safety and drug independence, create innovative technologies to produce these medications, and organize projects for their implementation. An important part will be training and advanced training of scientific, technological, managerial personnel, and active international interaction.
NANOLEK contributes to the growth of the region’s budgetary provision (through paying taxes to the local budget). In 2019, tax payments amounted to around 100 million roubles, which is 2.5 times higher than in 2018 (40 million).
CHARITY
NANOLEK Provides Help Under the Regulation on Charity:
- Provision of material, social, volunteer, and other assistance to people with disabilities (e.g., foundations, orphanages);
- Assistance in solving various health problems (e.g., foundations, orphanages, medical institutions, etc.);
- Support for projects in science and culture;
- Provision help to the leading specialized higher and other educational institutions.
NANOLEK is actively working with the regional public organization of parents of disabled children «By the Way of Good» in the Kirov Region. It was created on January 25, 2011 to support and protect families' rights raising children with special needs to improve the quality of their life and help them integrate into society. The organization has created a centre where families with disabled children in the age group «from birth up to 18» (more than 300 per year) receive regular psychological and pedagogical aid. The centre’s programs aim to ensure that children with cerebral palsy, genetic disorders, autistic disorders, severe multiple developmental disabilities can adapt, learn, and socialize.
NANOLEK also supports the Special Childhood Centre for Curative Pedagogy, a regional philanthropic public organization, where families raising special children receive help. The centre was established in 1989 at parents’ and specialists' initiative to help children with autism spectrum disorders, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, and severe multiple developmental disorders. More than 400 children study at the CCP every month, and more than 100 families receive professional consultations.

A BACKBONE UNIVERSITY: VYATSK STATE UNIVERSITY

In 2015, an agreement was signed on cooperation in implementing an educational program aimed at retraining process engineers and managers in the development and implementation of biotechnological and pharmaceutical products. In 2016, an equipped training class, «Personnel is Raised Here," was opened. Today, NANOLEK employs 170 alumni of VYATSK STATE UNIVERSITY.
In 2019 and 2020, NANOLEK employees acted as members of the State Certification Commission. In July, they accepted graduation theses defended by bachelors and future microbiologists.
THE SKOLKOVO
INSTITUTE OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY

In April 2019, a cooperation agreement was signed, and additional educational, scientific programs for NANOLEK employees were launched. Intelligence, proactivity, a critical approach to solving problems, theoretical knowledge of young scientists from Skoltech are the primary necessary qualities that will become fertile soil for the development of scientific potential in biopharmaceuticals. The presence of profound theoretical knowledge and the possibility of its implementation in practice will become a reliable footing for new discoveries and constant development of both the scientific world in general and NANOLEK in particular.
