We support young talent!

One of the strategic goals of NANOLEK’s HR Department is to bolster staff potential. To this end, we strive to attract and inspire talented representatives and activists of the igeneration with our innovations in medicine.

The “Digital generation”, “Internet Generation”, and “Generation Z” are today’s pupils and students who will form our future human resources potential and largely determine how are human resources will work together. This generation is characterized by advanced technology, multitasking, efficiency, and the predominance of “thinking in clips”. To capture their interest, we have to present information vividly and clearly, involve these people in active practical interaction, introduce a competitive element, and turn the process into a game.

The intellectual game “NANOLOCK” that we hold at Vyatka State University (VyatSU) offers a striking example of how we engage young people. It was not always necessary to apply narrow expertise and deep knowledge in the game, as you could logically guess any answer. The game also included questions about medicine and drugs. Trendy tablets were not the only prize available, for job opportunities were also offered. Students were able to express themselves, demonstrate their knowledge and resourcefulness and generally show us what they’re made of.

In addition to such creative forms of interaction, NANOLEK also applies classic methods. Our employees (often graduates of this university) regularly take part in events such as our Open Day, where they talk about the company, answer questions and share their experiences with potential colleagues. VyatSU is our core university, from where we hire trained personnel who specialize in the scientific field.

What could be clearer, more interesting, or more effective than the opportunity to put acquired knowledge into practice? To this end, NANOLEK invites students for internships. This summer, the company will host about 30 interns specializing in different areas: biotechnology, chemistry, procurement, HR, and strategic development. We have spoken with students who had already completed internships at NANOLEK and were delighted to receive their feedback.

Almost all interns comment on the scale of production and the plant, its level of equipment, and the high technology. A few people answered that they particularly remember the tour of the chemical-analytical laboratory and quality control department. A third-year student at the Faculty of Biotechnology, Alexander Polonsky, who completed an internship in the quality department, praised compliance with GMP. Students have also rated the working conditions at the plant: the availability of transport, free meals in the cafeteria, sports lessons and events for employees.

Alexander Sarachakov, a student of the Faculty of Bioinformatics at Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology, completed an Industrial Immersion internship at the company’s Moscow office.

“One of our professors, Dmitry Kulish, worked at NANOLEK. He told me about the company and suggested that I apply for an interview. I am training at NANOLEK’s Department of Strategic Development where I learn about corporate processes. I am involved in different tasks, such as processing data arrays using Python libraries, analytical automation, collecting, analyzing, and structuring data. I have good impressions: I liked the company’s comprehensive approach to the selection of future products, and the high level of all stages of project preparation, from analytics to implementation. I would be delighted to continue my career at NANOLEK: the management and my colleagues are superb, the tasks are fascinating and you really learn a lot.”

Most of the interns interviewed said that the internship met their expectations and that they would like to continue working at NANOLEK. Well, it’s in your hands! Internships give students the opportunity to get to know their chosen scientific field from the inside, obtain applied skills, and find out if their chosen path is really for them.

In order to develop the potential of young people in Kirov Oblast, a complementary education program is being developed at the Lyceum of Natural Sciences, which is included in the TOP-100 best schools in Russia. Starting from September 2019, NANOLEK plans to hold open lectures and case studies for schoolchildren you express an interest and wish to get involved.

NANOLEK loves talented young people and encourages them to achieve great things!
